Our commitment to the community extends beyond tourism. Our Managing Director, Krishna Karki, always believes in giving back to the community. Therefore, he founded a nonprofit organization, SWAN (Social Welfare Association of Nepal), alongside a group of like-minded friends in 1994. SWAN envisions a healthy, educated, and self-reliant community. To realize this vision, SWAN has been working on various life-saving projects in health, education, community development, WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene), and providing support during crises like Nepal Earthquake 2015, COVID-19 pandemic, and the Nepal floods 2024.
HIM-NAT has crafted specialized project tours that seamlessly combine eco-tourism and community development. These tours provide travelers with the unique opportunity to visit SWAN project areas such as Baglung and Udayapur, where they can immerse themselves in local culture, explore rural lifestyles, and witness the impactful work of SWAN firsthand.
